Thought the trailers looked dramatic and interesting, and it's a pretty good story, so in July 2015 I gave it a shot.
It was generally kinda lacklustre, failing to achieve any grandeur. I did enjoy seeing Moses portrayed as a bit of a madman though, and generally how it all seemed much less magical and wondrous and more like the sort of thing we find disturbing and uncivilised about the Middle East or whatever these days (like ritualistically slaughtering lambs and spreading their blood on your door!).
