FormatEdit

At home. Japanese with English subs.

JournalEdit

The night after watching, and really enjoying, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, in my quest to watch all the Studio Ghibli films, I fired this one up.

Loving the 80s Ghibli flavour, it's both nostalgic and intriguingly different. Certainly seems that something's missing from such films these days - I'd even go so far as to say there aren't any 'such films' made anymore. It's whimsical, adventurous, fun, epic - I guess it just evokes a much richer suite of emotions.

I really want to make Laputa in Minecraft :P Also I'd definitely recommend these films for kids, I look forward to watching them with mine one day.

Second watch (14th October 2016)Edit

FormatEdit

With Emma at home, Japanese with subtitles

JournalEdit

I was very tired (we both were after a long day out) but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Lots of robots and nice naturey secluded castle suits me just fine haha. I would definitely be happy having ruined Laputa as my secret base.

It was Emma's first anime experience, and she said she enjoyed it too.
