Second watch (March 2016)[]

Posted to r/rational with a few comments, which got me thinking about it again. I enjoyed it the first time but I was curious to see if I would consider it 'rational' (in the r/rational sense) so I popped it on and was quickly half an hour in without wanting to turn it off.

It's certainly fun and compelling and the right length (1.5 hours) for what it is. I didn't think the reactions of his colleagues were really that realistic, for supposed academics he'd known for 10 years - like suddenly branding him a lunatic, or the super religious lady, or the continued rejection of the biker guy, or the gun-pulling of the psychiatrist. But considering it was written in 1960 I think, it makes more sense when you think of it as a kind of Asimovian short story.
