First read (December 2009)Edit

Got as a present from Santa Claus for Christmas 2007[1]. I read the memory-enhancing parts in early 2009 so I could use the name-learning techniques when I worked at St Lawrence's primary school over Easter, and the number-learning techniques for remembering my bank log-in ID (had it written on the bookmark, possibly stupidly :P), but I think I first tried reading it some time before that. I found it somehow difficult to read in large chunks, although there were some truly hilarious bits (pop it up your bottom) and it was generally amusing and of interest it somehow failed to get read amongst all the distractions of daily life. I stopped reading it after playing with the memory tricks and it sat around my room for a while.

Finally started reading it again on December 18th 2009[2], after finishing The World Without Us and having no time to get a new book before going home from York for Christmas, but knowing I'd need something to read. Finished it on Monday 28th December 2009[3], having thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it, it addressed so many things of fascination for me, I wonder though how many people would find it so acutely tuned to their interests, I'm not sure I know anyone who I'd expect to find it so interesting. <3 Derren Brown though!

Began rereading The God Delusion immediately afterwards, having received it for Christmas (as well as Eon and Eternity).
